MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Hooker Furniture Corp. has hired Tim O’Hare as senior vice president, merchandising and design for Hooker case goods.

He comes to the company from Caracole, where he was senior vice president of creative merchandising for the past three years. A graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design, O’Hare also has more than 20 years of experience at H. Thomas Keller & Associates, where he was a senior partner. He also has worked at Marty Pratt Designs of High Point, Windsor White Studios of Chicago and Broyhill Furniture.

In his new role, he reports to Jeremy Hoff, president of Hooker, and he will lead the case goods merchandising team and help shape the creative direction of the line. He fills a position previously occupied by Hank Long, who retired in 2017.

“Tim brings to our company a wealth of product design and development experience,” Hoff said. “His outstanding eye for product will help us expand our product line and style assortment to appeal to a broader range of consumers and geographic areas.”

“I am pleased to become part of such a time-honored organization such as Hooker Furniture,” O’Hare said. “I look forward to working with Jeremy and the case goods merchandising team to help define the creative vision moving forward.”
